A solution of the intensification problem of the column chemical reactors is presented in the approximation of the mechanics of continua. The effect of the radial non-uniformity of the velocity distribution, the effect of the tangential flow and simultaneous mass, and heat transfer processes are analyzed. A theoretical analysis of the simultaneous mass and heat transfer processes in column reactors is presented.

Background: With the rising educational unemployment in India, one can recognize the possibility of certain imbalance in the acquirement of tertiary education and the requirement of workforce in India. An assessment of youth’s selection of their post-secondary courses could provide a layout for the effective planning of higher education with respect to the demand of workforce in the country. This study examines a set of individual/household, institutional, and regional factors influencing the se...

In this theoretical study we used density functional theory to calculate the molecular structures of Silver Halo compound, AgF3. The molecular geometry, vibrational frequencies, energies and natural bond orbital (NBO) in the ground state are calculated by using the DFT (B3LYP) methods with LANL2DZ. The T.S guesses were generated by the linear synchronous transit method, at the DFT implemented on Gaussian 98 program. The geometries and normal modes of vibrations obtained from B3LYP calculations a...

Percutaneous renal biopsy with sonographic guidance is the standard by which renal tissue is sampled. In patients with uncorrectable coagulopathy or other contra-indication, percutaneous biopsy may not be feasible and a transvenous approach is preferred. This method limits the risk of bleeding complications as tissue is obtained endovascularly without transgression of the renal capsule. Arteriovenous fistula (AVF), a well-documented complication of percutaneous biopsy, has yet to be reported whe...

For obtainment of the isolated sterile intestine, inbred lines of mice C3HA, CBA, C57BL/6, BalB/c are used at same time; it is carried out transplantation of small and large intestines of embryons corresponding lines of mice subcutaneously in adult singen mice. In capacite of test objects we make use of cultures of Salmonella typhimurium. The side of organ like kysts of isolated sterile of small and large intestines’ models on the histological and transmission electron-microscopic (TEM) preparat...

Calculation of electron correlation energy in molecules involves a very important computational effort, even in the simplest cases. Nowadays, using the new parallel libraries (PETSc and SLEPc) and MPI, we can resolve this calculation faster and with very big molecules. This result is a very important advance in chemical computation.

In this study, five kinds of metal salt were selected, and Span80 and Tween80 surfactants were selected; they have been used in wide range of hydrophilic–hydrophobic balance (HLB) from 4.3 to 15. The electrical conductivities of heavy oil and different brine emulsion were measured. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of HLB on the conductivity of heavy oil-brine emulsion. A series of brine-in-heavy oil type (w/o) emulsions with various HLB were prepared. This test used the ...

This study was performed to compare the growth dynamics of Serretia in single and coculture biofilms condition and also evaluated its antagonistic effect against pathogenic bacteria. One preserved isolated subculture was identified on the basis of their morphological, cultural and biochemical characteristics. The isolate was belonged to the genus Serretia and provisionally identified as Serretia rubidaea. This isolate was exposed to different environmental condition. The experiments were carried...

A constant challenge for Greek primary EFL teachers is the large number of spelling mistakes in their learners’ written performance. Teachers usually feel helpless in understanding and remedying this problem due to non-existent research outputs in the realm of the spelling of Greek young EFL learners. Within this context, the researcher was stimulated to study the particular problem as an English teacher and educational researcher working on SLA. A descriptive case study was conducted into the s...

The Lemierre’s syndrome (coexistence of oropharingeal infection, septic thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein and septic embolisms), rarely can be caused by Staphylococcus methicillin sensitive, showing a great virulence because of their capacity to produce a toxin called “Panton-Valentine Leukocidin”. We present the case of a patient who was admitted to our ICU with a clinical picture of septic shock secondary to this syndrome, in which this pathogen was found as the etiologic agent.
