Compact Operators on Hilbert Spaces

Sara Nozari
In this paper, we obtain some results on compact operators. More specially, we prove that if T is a unitary operator on a Hilbert space H, then it is compact if and only if H has a finite dimension. Also, we prove that, if H is a Hilbert space with Heine-Borel property, then .

A Comparative Study of the Advance of the Newtonian Component of Mercury’s Perihelion by Numerical Analysis and Perturbation Theory

Rajat Roy
A new numerical evaluation of the Newtonian component of Mercury’s perihelion advance over more than two centuries starting from about the year 2000 is made. Results are given for about the last 30 years of this interval. Comparison with perturbation theory calculation results indicates necessity of revision of previously held estimates of this quantity.

Hydrodynamical Phenomena at Preparation of Earthquake

Igor Petrovich Dobrovolsky
Variations in level of fluid in wells caused by Earth tides and earthquakes are governed by two leading processes: deformation of medium and filtration. These processes are described by identical systems of equations and are united by the term “hydrodynamical phenomena”. The exact solution is obtained for the problem of level variations in wells due to Earth tides. The similar problem is solved for short-term precursors of a tectonic earthquake. Results are consistent with data of field observat...

Influence of Spatial Comfort and Environmental Workplace Ergonomics on Job Satisfaction of Librarians in the Federal and State University Libraries in Southern Nigeria

Chinyere N. Ikonne, Haliso Yacob
This study examined the influence of spatial comfort and environmental workplace ergonomics on the job satisfaction of librarians in the federal and state university libraries in Southern Nigeria. The study adopted the survey research design. The total enumeration technique was used to survey the 500 librarians from the 37 federal and state universities libraries in Southern Nigeria. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data collected. The findings revealed that there was a positive re...

Almost Sure Limit Inferior for Increments of Stable Subordinators

Kokkada Vidyalaxmi, Korakote Nagaraj Ravi Prakash, Gooty Divanji
Letbe a sequence of completely asymmetric stable process or stable subordinators defined on a common probability space. In this paper, for proper selection of norming constants, we study almost sure limit inferior for increments of stable subordinators of geometr...

Entanglement Arrow of Time in the Multiverse

Salvador Robles-Pérez
In this paper, the model of a multiverse made up of entangled pairs of universes is presented. The arrow of time obtained from the principles of thermodynamics and the arrow of time given by the thermodynamics of entanglement for single universes are analyzed. The latter requires that the single universes expand once they have crossed the quantum barrier at the Euclidean regime. The possible relationship with respect to the growth of local structures in a single universe is also discussed.

Effect of Machining Parameters on Tool Wear and Nodal Temperature in Hard Turning of AISI D3 Steel

Varaprasad Bhemuni, Srinivasa Rao Chelamalasetti, Siva Prasad Kondapalli
Present day metal cutting industry has to meet the challenges of productivity and the quality of the machined parts during the turning processes economically. In the present work, an attempt has been made to develop a model and predict the tool wear and nodal temperature of hard turned AISI D3 hardened steel using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The combined effects of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut are investigated using contour plots. RSM based Central Composite Design (CCD) is ...

Microwave Reactors: A Brief Review on Its Fundamental Aspects and Applications

Kalyan Kumar Rana, Suparna Rana
Improved laboratory protocols for convenient and rapid transformations are highly desired in modern synthetic chemistry. Microwave irradiated reactions have received considerable attention in recent years and it is a subject of intense discussion in the scientific community. Microwave heating is more efficient in terms of the energy used, produces higher temperature homogeneity and is considerably more rapid than conventional heating methods. This technique as an alternative to conventional ener...

A Comparative Physiochemical Properties of Esomeprazole Brands

Safila Naveed, Fatima Qamar
Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of Omeprazole and it is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Esomeprazole is used in acid-related disorders and it is available as several brands in the market which makes it difficult for doctors to select the effective, safe and economic one for patients. Therefore we have decided to establish pharmaceutical equivalence among the different brands of esomeprazole available in Karachi, Pakistan. In our present study different brands of esomeprazole are evaluated for weight...

Role of Trace Elements Alzheimer’s Disease

Sanjeev Kumar, Reena Mittal, Shweta Chaudhary, Deep Chand Jain

Atomic absorption analysis involves measuring the absorption of light by vaporized ground state atoms and relating the absorption to concentration. The incident beam of light is attenuated by atomic vapour absorption according to Beer’s Law. The estimation of trace elements shows a colorful presentation of different metals. It has been seen and found that the levels of zinc, calcium, magnesium, aluminum are lower in Alzheimer’s disease samples in compari
