Predicting Potential Habitat Distribution of Sorrel (Rumex vesicarius L.) in India from Presence-Only Data Using Maximum Entropy Model

Medagam Thirupathi Reddy, Hameedunnisa Begum, Neelam Sunil, Pandravada Someswara Rao, Natarajan Sivaraj, Shashi Kumar
Sorrel (Rumex vesicarius L.) is an underutilized, underexploited, traditional, valuable medicinal and vegetable herb. It is wildly distributed as an environmental weed and is sparsely cultivated in market and truck gardens as a minor leafy vegetable crop in south India. Concerning nutritional and health security of developing country like India, increasing production either by introducing its cultivation in non-traditional areas or by enhancing its productivity can be an important issue i...

Some Fundamentals of Romance Linguistics with Regard to Sardinian

Jordi Crespo Saumell
When it comes to consider the vast space that Latin and the Romance languages occupy, geogra- phical, temporal, and social dimensions pop up at least as unavoidable. In coming to grips with the evolution of the vulgar Latin into their extant reflexes, there is also unanimous agreement in regarding vowel quantity, syllable boundaries, and syllable weight as the three main concepts accounting for the progressive stages and the final aspect of the neo-Latin languages today. In reassuming such a the...

Special Matrices in Constructing Mutually Unbiased Maximally Entangled Bases in C2C4

Jun Zhang, Qiang Yang, Hua Nan, Yuanhong Tao
Some special matrices can really help us to construct more than two mutually unbiased maximally entangled bases in C2C4. Through detailed analysis of the necessary and sufficient conditions of two maximally entangled bases to be mutually unbiased, we find these special matrices. Taking one such kind of matrix, we present the steps of constructing five mutually unbia...

Microbial Recovery of Gold from Mahd El-Dahab Mine Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Nora Shenouda Gad, Mahmoud H. Shalaby
This paper considers the use of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a biosorbent for the recovery of gold from Mahd El-Dahhab gold mine in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Gold is a noble metal which was seldom used in electroplating, hydrogenation catalyst, etc. Heterogeneous composition of samples and low concentration offer renewed interest in the selective extraction of gold using various extractants. In the present work, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is used to study the preconcentratio...

Termination of Organogenesis as Intrinsic Constraint on Animal Development and Evolution: A Theory

Zi-Jian Cai
In this article, it is pointed out with integrative analysis that organogenesis manifests limitation in time and possession of termination, while infinite cell proliferation called as cancer and tumor is lethal. Besides, it is reversely demonstrated from a few notable constant outgrowing skin derivatives that termination is required for organogenesis inside the animal. Accordingly, it is suggested that the requirement for organogenetic termination would be the new intrinsic constraint for animal...

Virendra Kumar, Faiza Naeem, Ajay Kumar
An experiment was conducted for evaluation of tomato germplasm in field conditions and by artificial inoculation method in polyhouse conditions against early blight for two successive years at tomato farm of Swar region of Rampur district during cropping season from February to March. The total 141 tomato germplasms/cultivars were screened, including wild accessions, exotic collection, indigenous cultivars and advanced lines. Among the 141 germplasms, 5 wild accessions viz. On the Imaginary Geometry

Abdullah Kurudirek, Huseyin Akca
In this paper, we have aimed at showing the available set of points of Lobachevsky axiom by the help of Euclidean plane (As it is known, an Euclidean plane, which is a flat surface with no thickness, extends forever to all directions.), especially on behalf of broadening the horizons in geo- metry education of high school students.

On Explanation of Polygons in Galilean Geometry to High School Students

Abdullah Kurudirek, Huseyin Akca

In this paper, we have tried to indicate the own properties of polygons in Galilean geometry using the Affine concepts as well. The relationships between an angle and a side as well as the relationships between altitudes and medians concepts, and comparison of some special polygons have been examined carefully. In addition, the area concept has been mentioned. Finally, the paper was completed with a new idea, Theorem 6.
