My Teaching and Learning Philosophy

Laila Cassum
The teaching learning journey is a dynamic, continuous and challenging process. It is beyond the boundaries to what we learn in schools in our initial years of life. We learn from our environment, positive and negative past experiences, and from the people with whom we interact. It is the teacher who brings an enormous impact on shaping the personality of the learners. Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that vary not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. It is the ...

Identification and Ceramic Application of Some Tunisian Clays

Salah Mahmoudi, Ezzeddine Srasra, Fouad Zargouni
Mineralogy, chemistry, and plasticity of the raw clay materials, outcropping in different Tunisian domains were studied. These clays constitute the only mineral resource of the ceramic industries in Tunisia, and are exploitable at eight quarries. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that illite and kaolinite are the major mineral phases. However, other clay minerals, such as illite/ smectite mixed-layer, and chlorite are also present. The associated minerals detected in powdered materials ...

The Research of Tax Inspection Based on Generalized Regression Neural Network

Shihong Chen, Xiaoqing Liu
This paper tries to use the generalized regression neural network (in short: GRNN) to assist tax inspection case selection. First, this paper briefly introduces the theory of generalized regression neural network and applies it in the tax inspection. Second, it analyzes the financial statements and tax returns of 93 commercial enterprises, and then establishes the GRNN model and gets the analyzing result. Finally, the result is compared with the known taxation case. Then we get the conclusion th...

Comprehention of Coils Overlappings Effects —Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Mohammadreza Shiravi Khoozani, Homayoun Meshgin Kelk, Abolfazl Shiravi Khoozani
A typical medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) contains a Local transmit/receive coil. Magnetic coil design is very important in study of the human brain and for neurological therapeutics technique. Precise spatial localization of stimulation sites is the key of efficient functional magnetic stimulations. Others have examined this issue at radio frequencies. This paper develops circular coils, figure-of-8 coils and coil array elements in order to realize a transcranial magnetic stimulator, a...

Astrophysical Radiative Neutron Capture on 10B Taking into Account Resonance at 475 keV

S. B. Dubovichenko, A. V. Dzhazairov-Kakhramanov
The possibility of the description of the available experimental data for cross sections of the neutron capture reaction on 10B at thermal and astrophysical energies, taking into account the resonance at 475 keV, was considered within the framework of the modified potential cluster model with forbidden states and accounting for the resonance behavior of the scattering phase shifts.

Potential Impact of Climate Change on Dynamics of Coffee Berry Borer (Hypothenemus hampi Ferrari) in Ethiopia

Eshetu Agegnehu, Ashok Thakur, Tewodros Mulualem
The aim of this paper is to review the potential effect of climate change on dynamics of coffee berry borer and to generate information for researches concerned on it. Coffee (Coffea arabica L.), which is originated in Ethiopia, is the backbone of the country’s economy. It accounts for 70% of the foreign exchange earning, 10% of the government revenue and employs 25% of the domestic labor force. There are four coffee production systems in Ethiopia such as modern plantation, gardens, semi-...

Cross Correlation Analysis of Mozambique’s 7.0 M Earthquake Using the Empirical Mode Decomposition

Enoch Oluwaseun Elemo
Precise determinations of ionospheric anomaly variations associated with earthquakes require the elimination of other sources of ionospheric variabilities like ionospheric storms, geomagnetic perturbations or geophysical noise. However, revealing the seismo-ionospheric anomalies when the ionosphere is known to be a complex and nonlinear system is of utmost importance. To overcome this constraint, Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), which is a far better technique for both nonlinear and non-stationary...

The Spatial Relativity and Its Physical Consequences

Qiankai Yao
Through reevaluating the physical significance of Hubble law, we propose the concept of spatial relativity and make two postulates: 1) Distance is equivalent to motion; 2) Hubble radius  is constant. Such an approach can help us to develop the theory of relativity into a unified form, and further construct a simple and consistent cosmological model. It shows that, our universe can be treated as a...

Meat Analogue Derived from Common Legumes

Dolly P. Maroma
This research study aimed to explore the possibility of utilization of other common legumes i.e. white kidney beans and lima beans that can mimic the texture and taste of natural meat counterpart and to establish recommendations for other legumes as a considerable raw material substitute in production of texturized vegetable protein (TVP) that can simulate natural meat in terms of organoleptic properties that comprise equivalent ingredient functions as soybean based meat analogues. The me...
