The
cell biology of adipocytes has led to a number of promising concepts in the
last century, especially in
the areas of obesity and associated diseases, lipid homeostasis and endocrine
functions. Recent advances in adipogenesis had provided insights into
understanding of the complex cues for influencing the cytoarchitecture, epigenomic
remodeling, signaling pathways and transcription regulators on gene actions for
both white and brown adipogenic progression from mesenchymal stem cells to
mature...

In this paper, presentation of specific features of TEC behaviour as a possible
precursor of Orkney earthquake of August 5th, 2014 (M5.5) was made. To achieve this,
TEC data from Suth station and GIM TEC maps were used. The period understudied (prior
to and after the earthquake) experienced quiet geomagnetic situation which made
the analysis much easier. A characteristic anomaly was noticed from 4 days before
the earthquake and it was found out that the day-time TEC increases significantly and c...

Background: Viral Load (VL), CD4 T cells count and clinical signs are
significant parameters for the decision of
starting ARV Treatment (ART). The aim of this study is to determine the Viral
Load profile of eligible patients on
treatment in the centers according to the algorithm used in Kinshasa and
the DRC. Methodology: Our sample consisted of 153 HIV-positive patients naive
of ART. All patients aged over 18 years were included in the study without
gender discrimination. The determination of th...

Ionospheric variability resulting from earthquake events is a known
phenomenon as revealed by various seismo-ionospheric coupling studies.
Variations resulting from seismo-ionospheric couplings are known to be much
weaker, and noted to occur only locally in an area that is specified by the
magnitude of the earthquake. Whereas disturbances generated by other sources
like geomagnetic storms, exhibit a more global behaviour. For this study,
GPS-TEC data of 31 days (15 days before and 15 days after ...

Introduction: Liver cirrhosis (LC) is a major cause of mortality and
morbidity in the United States. American Association for the Study of Liver
Disease (AASLD) has developed guidelines for the management of patients with
LC. Methods: We conducted a one-year retrospective chart review study of
patients admitted with LC related complication. Our primary outcome was
adherence to AASLD guidelines for the management of variceal bleeding (VB),
fluid overload and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) screeni...

Background: The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a bilateral synovial
joint between the mandible and the temporal bone of the skull. TMJ disorders
(TMDs) are a set of complicated and poorly understood clinical conditions, in
which TMDs are associated with a number of symptoms including pain and limited
jaw movement. The increasing scientific evidence suggests that genetic factors
play a significant role in the pathology of TMDs. However, the underlying
mechanism of TMDs remains largely unknown. ...

Glyphosate, N-phosphonomethyl-glycine
(GLY), is a systemic post-emergence herbicide that controls weeds with great
efficiency whose low cost is reflected in its wide application. In the environment,
the presence of aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), its main degradation
product, is indicative of the application of GLY to the land. The aim of this
study was to develop two analytical methods for the determination of GLY by
HPLC-UV and GLY and AMPA by GC-MS, in water, soil and sediment samples. The...

Recently ionospheric variability remains one of the most intensive
studies in the area of ionospheric physics. Despite the massive improved
knowledge of its dynamics, the ability to use this data to provide early, as
well as valid warning of upcoming earthquakes (seismo-ionospheric coupling) is
still controversial. However, anomalous behaviours of TEC in the ionosphere
before the occurrence of earthquakes have received several attentions by
scientists. In this paper, GPS-TEC variations of 31 day...

A cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2010 to April 2011 to
determine the prevalence of trypanosomosis and to identify the prevailing
species of trypanosomes in cattle present in and around Nekemte. Blood sample
were collected from ear vein of 400 cattle and then examined using thin and
thick smear method followed by Buffy coat examination. Anemic status was
determined by Packed Cell Volume (PCV). Out of 400 samples were examined, 36 (9%)
were positive, out of which 26 (0.065%) had...

Data streams are continuous and always keep evolving in nature. Because
of these reasons it becomes difficult to handle such data with simple and
static strategies. Data stream poses four main challenges to researchers. These
are infinite length, concept-evolution, concept-drift and feature evolution.
Infinite-length is because of the amount of data having no bounds.
Concept-drift is due to slow changes in the concept of stream. Concept-evolution
occurs due to presence of unknown classes in data...
