Objective: Sexual and reproductive health the way it is currently
conceptualized is a new discipline in medicine, and many medical doctors whose
responsibility is to provide information and service to promote this essential
component of health do not fully understand the concept. This study was
designed to determine the level of knowledge of Nigerian doctors about sexual
and reproductive health. Methods: Partly pre-coded questionnaires were
administered to a cross section study of doctors for se...

This paper presents results of a modeled open channel flow through a
porous media (River). In the model, we considered water as an incompressible
fluid; the flow as steady and uniform; the system is assumed to be isothermal
and the flow pattern is laminar. We have solved the resulting Brinkman equation
using analytical method. By some mathematical operation, the momentum partial
differential equation (PDE) was reduced to ordinary differential equation (ODE)
and the resulting equations are solved...

We demonstrate in this paper that periodic variations of the J2 gravity coefficient of a
planet induce small cumulative perturbations on a given family of circular
equatorial orbits, and that these perturbations could be measurable with
current radiosciences technology. For this purpose, we first consider a
Poincaré expansion of the Newtonian equations of motion. Then, by using Floquet’s
theory, we demonstrate that, unlike the excitation mechanism, the perturbations
are non- pe...

Background: Vaginal discharge is a common gynecological symptom seen among
women provoking anxiety and fear of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Methods:
This was a hospital based retrospective study done from November 2008 to March 2013.
Records of 969 patients presenting to the gynaecology clinic with symptoms of “vaginal
discharge” were retrieved and relevant data on demographics, discharge characteristics
and frequency, associated risk factors and symptoms, as well as investigations we...

Gleissberg cycle is a recurring climatic period of 80 years duration. It
is usually attributed to the influence of the Sun. In this article, we present
a new hypothesis for the possible cause related to the magnetic field of
Jupiter.

The longitude of the perihelion advance of Mercury was calculated for the
two and ten-body problem by using a correction to the balance between the force
given by the Newton 2 nd law of motion and the Newton gravitational
force. The corresponding system of differential equations was solved
numerically. The correction, that expresses the apparent mass variation with
the body speed, has a trend that is different from those that usually appear in
the electron theory and in the special the...

The electromagnetic interaction of the hydrogen atom is used as an experimental device and the data prove that bound fields and radiation fields are different physical objects. A further analysis proves that there is no direct interaction between radiation fields and there is no self-interaction of fields of an elementary pointlike charge. Therefore, bound fields and radiation fields should be treated differently and radiation fields emitted from two different sources should be treated separatel...

The present manuscript mainly introduces three linguistic methods to
detect lies, namely Hand- writing Analysis, Voice Stress Analysis, and
Non-Verbal Analysis and the application of these linguistic deception detection
approaches in various fields, such as law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and
forensic context. These major deception detection techniques are illustrated by
examples based on graphology, psycho-physiological stress response, and
non-verbal communication studies.

This is a descriptive review of a large number (5606) of both in and
outpatient adult infectious disease consultation from a major teaching hospital
over extended period (2001-2010). The purpose of the study is to get spectrum
of ID and determine trends in occurrence by age and sex. The common inpatients
ID consultations were SSTIs, septicemia, osteomyelitis and that for outpatient
by far most common were HIV/AIDS in over a third, followed by SSTI,
osteomyelitis. There was equal distribution by ...

Preeclampsia (PE) is
one of the complications of pregnancythat significantly increases maternal and
fetal mortality and morbidity. Mothers who were born as low birth weight (LBW)
babies have risks for PE that are 2 - 3 times higher than maternal birth weight
≥ 2500 g. LBW history of the mother is also correlates with the incidence of
metabolic syndrome later in life including incresed of body mass index (BMI), hyperlipidemia, hypertension, stroke type 2
diabetes and cardiovascular accident (CVA)...
